*FBLA will be sponsoring a Donation Drive for the flood victims in New Orleans. Please bring in
toiletry items and drop in the box located in the foyer. Items will be collected through Sept. 2.
*School Fall Pictures & Sr. Portrait Make-ups will be this Friday.
*The baseball team is selling Montevallo Bulldog car magnets. $5.00 each. Please see any player or
come by the main office to purchase.
* Seniors: A representative from Auburn University Montgomery will be on campus Wed., Aug. 31 to
meet with interested students. The meeting will be at 11:25 in the library during Senior GPS time.
Please sign up in the Guidance Office.
*Attention Juniors: Youth Leadership Shelby County is now taking applications for the 2016-2017
program. The program invites students who are mature, responsible, and who want to become socially
conscientious leaders of the future. Space is limited and the selection process is competitive.
*Interested juniors should see Ms. Allen for an application.
*Attention Juniors and Seniors: MHS has the opportunity to select 2 juniors and 4 seniors of high character
to take part in the Youth Leadership Development Program. The program is very rewarding and
students have the potential to earn scholarships, but commitment is crucial. See Ms. Allen if you are
interested in being considered.
*Anime Club is having their first meeting after school tomorrow in Mrs Pastor’s room 305 Alice Boyd
building until 4pm.
*Cap & Gown Info and Jr. Ring Order Info delivered to students Aug. 29th.
*Sept. 1 Sr. Portrait Orders Due 7 am—9 am School Cafeteria
*Friday we will be having a pep rally. The theme is “Tackle the Tigers” and students can wear their
favorite team’s jersey .

I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
