*This week is National Suicide Prevention Week. Here are some important facts you need to know:  Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death for all ages in the U.S.  There is one death by suicide in the U.S. every 12.3 min  Suicide among males is 4x higher than females

*Current Sr. Future Teachers members will have a meeting in Mrs. Cabrera’s room during GPS today.

*PTSO Meeting at 6:30 pm Room 300 on Sept. 12. Need volunteers to help with Homecoming.

*Late Start Wed. Sept. 14 Buses will run at regular times. School will begin @ 9am.

*The baseball team is selling Montevallo Bulldog car magnets. $5.00 each. Please see any player or come by the main office to purchase.

*Students: The NACAC Fall College Fair will be held at the BJCC on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Interested students should register atwww.gotomyncf.com. Be sure to print your barcode sheet.

*”The girls soccer team will be having tryouts Saturday September 17 at 1:00 PM. All players need a current physical on file with the school and a signed consent form. Any interested students can pick up a consent form in Mr. Cooley’s room, number 203.”

*Greg Spence, from Word of Life will be speaking again to First Priority tomorrow morning . 7:15-7:40 Come join us for inspiration morning.

*Attention Sophomores: On Monday, Sept. 12, all 10th grade students will have an opportunity to participate in the Shelby County Career Awareness Fair in Columbiana. This will be a great time to get exposure to various careers and gain first hand knowledge of what it is like to work in specific fields. This event is meant to benefit all sophomores; however, any student who does not wish to attend should return the bottom portion of the field trip letter to Ms. Allen by12:00 Friday. Letters will be distributed in English class.
