The University of Montevallo’s Community School of Music (UMCSM) has offered high quality, non-credit, music instruction at a reasonable price for over 44 years. UMCSM provides private lessons on all instruments including piano, voice, guitar (classical and pick style), violin, trumpet, flute, French horn, trombone, clarinet, mandolin, ukulele, and organ, to name a few. Lessons are once a week and are available in a 15 week, 10 week or 6 week semesters during the Fall and Spring plus an 8 week schedule is available during the summer. Lessons can be 30 or 60 minutes. I am a alumni of Montevallo High and the University of Montevallo. I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
