MHS News 1/5/2017

*Students are reminded that you should not enter the front doors between class change. Enter through the side door beside Coach Grayson’s room and exit the front doors.
*The Winter Formal will be January 14th at the Anna Irvin Dining Hall on UM’s campus from 7 – 11 p.m. The cost will be $10 and the proceeds will go to Cystic Fibrosis. This is a Sadie Hawkins dance, so girls, ask your special guy to the dance! Money will collected Tuesday-Thursday at lunch next week.

*Seniors: The January edition of the Senior Newsletter is now available. Find it on Ms. Allen’s Counselor’s Corner Blog or pick up a copy in the library or guidance office. *Attention Students: MHS will administer the ASVAB for interested 10th, 11th, & 12th grade students on Jan. 19. The ASVAB is a great career assessment for any student, but it is required for students interested in a military career. Interested students should see Ms. Allen.                                                                                                                                        *The MHS cheerleaders are selling t-shirts for a fundraiser. The shirts are royal blue and will say MHS on the front. They are available in short and long sleeve. The short sleeve will be sold for $15 and the long sleeve for $22. Please see Ms. Ward or a cheerleader to purchase one.                                                                                                     *Yearbooks are on sale for $50.00. Only 70 available. Please see Mrs. Adams to purchase.                                                                                                                                           *Anyone interested in trying out for the track team this year, please sign up with Coach McCaleb by Friday.

I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
