*Are you junior with a minimum 25 ACT score and a desire to participate in an academically stimulating residential program? If so, you could be a candidate for nomination for Alabama Governor’s School this summer. Interested students should see Ms Allen.

*The Montevallo Day of Pageants will be held Saturday, Feb. 11. All entry forms and payments must be turned in by Friday, February 3rd. All girls and boys in grades 9-12 may participate. Applications available in the main office.

*Yearbooks on sale for $50.00. Only 65 available. See Mrs. Adams to purchase Sr. yearbook ads are due February 15 to Mrs. Adams. You may pick up an ad form from Mrs. Adams or the main office.

*Attention AP Students: Ms. Allen will be in the cafeteria during the lunch waves TODAY to distribute AP Fee Notices and Student Guides. Remember to stop by her table. Also, remember to submit AP contracts if you haven’t already.

*Attention students: MHS is participating in a community-wide sock drive that will benefit local children. The Sock Drive Box will be outside Ms. Allen’s door through TOMORROW

*Students: If you took the PSAT and did not meet with Ms. Allen during GPS this week, you may get your score reports during your lunch wave Today. Remember to visit her table.

*The Coupons for Classrooms coupon book fundraiser on sale now. This is a fantastic book features over $3,500 in valuable coupon offers with over 160 popular participating merchants! Books will be on sale through February 15.
*Attention Juniors: We now have the opportunity to offer free online ACT prep for students. It is a great tool for you to use at home or at school as you prepare for the ACT. If you would like to have a personal account set up, please sign the registration form outside the Guidance Office this week.

I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
