*FREE ACT Math Study Session to Juniors on Saturday, March 11th, 9-12. Sign up with Mrs. Cabrera.
*Yearbooks on sale for $50.00. Only 60 available. See Mrs. Adams to purchase
*Friday all 9th grade students will receive a scoliosis screening. Screenings will be conducted by Jeff State nursing students. Any questions or concerns, please contact the school nurse, Dorothy Wilburn.
*Girls Can Camp applications for 9th and 10th grade girls are due TOMORROW to Ms. Allen.
*Seniors: A representative from Lawson State Community College will be on campus TODAY during senior GPS. Sign up in the Guidance Office today.
*Students: Please see Ms. Allen this week if you were not in class when the course selection materials were distributed. Course selection forms and any accompanying applications are due by Feb. 28.
*Attention Students: Are you interested in a paid plumbing, pipefitting, welding, or refrigeration apprenticeship with UA Local 91 Apprentice School? If so, check out the flyer on Ms. Allen’s door for more information or visit www.UA91.org.
*The Montevallo Sister City Commission is looking for student travelers. The MSCC is organizing a trip to our sister city Echizen Town, Japan around July 1 until July 10, 2017. (Dates may change) If your family is interested in sending a student age 13-16, please email MontevalloSisterCity@gmail.com to receive an application or ask questions. Applications deadline March 3. Applications also available in the main office.
*Attention Seniors: The Shelby County Education Support Professionals Association is offering two $250 scholarships for seniors who have immediate family members in SCESP. I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
