MHS News 10/16/2017

*Congratulations to Varsity Volleyball Team for going 5-0 in the Purple Tiger Invitational Tournament at Minor and bringing home 1st place. All-Tournament selection to Jordan Stephens and MVP Georgia Hughes
*There will be a meeting in Mrs. Pastor’s room during each grade level’s GPS today for any students interested in joining the Model United Nations Team. MHS won awards last year at the conference, and we expect to do the same this year!
*Come join us for important information to be given out.
*Attention seniors: If you would still like to order senior portraits, the representative from Bill Miller will be here TOMORROW at 7:30 am in the cafeteria. This is the last time he will be on campus to take orders. After this date, you will have to call or mail in your order.
*Flu vaccines for students will be given Oct. 20 to those who turned in a permission form.
*The volleyball team has “Volley For A Cure” t-shirts available to support Breast Cancer Awareness on sale for $15. Come by the main office or see any volleyball player to purchase.
*School make-up pictures will be Oct. 23.
*Sr. supply orders will be taken Wed. 7 –8 am in the cafeteria
*Juniors and Seniors: A representative from the Univ of West Alabama will be on campus TOMORROW during senior GPS in the library. Interested students should sign up in the guidance office.
*Attention Seniors: If you signed up to get FAFSA help TOMORROW , please remember to gather your necessary documents before hand. You will be given a specific appointment time. Any parents interested in attending should contact Ms. Allen.
*Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors will resume going to MES TOMORROW , but will not report on Oct. 24

I am a alumni of Montevallo High and the University of Montevallo. I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now. It's exciting to be working at the same school I went to many years ago.
