*Seniors: The January edition of the Senior Newsletter is not available. It contains newly released scholarships from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Jeff State Community College, and Alabama State University to name a few. Pick up a copy or download from Ms. Allen’s blog.
*Students: Do you need ACT help? If so, check out Ms. Allen’s blog for information on prep programs offered at the University of Montevallo and Central Alabama Community College.
*The Montevallo Day of Pageants will be held Saturday, Feb. 3. If you are interested in becoming the next Mr. or Miss Montevallo please come by the office and get an entry form or see Mrs. McCaleb in room 201. All entry forms and payments must be turned in by Friday, Jan. 26th. All girls and boys in grades 9-12 may participate.
*Yearbooks are now on sale for $50.00. See Mrs. Fricke or any yearbook staff to purchase. Senior ads for the yearbook are now on sale. Forms and pictures are due to Mrs. Fricke by February 9th.
*MHS Football Banquet will be held Jan. 22 beginning at 6 pm in the PAC. Tickets are on sale now for $10 each and may be purchased from Coach Wilcox. Any questions , please email coach @ bwilcox@shelbyed.org
*Please support Montevallo High School’s Model United Nations Team Thursday, January 18th by going to eat dinner with your family at Texas Roadhouse in Pelham! Pick up a flyer from the front office at MHS and bring it with you when you eat- the team will get a portion of those sales! Those who attend can enter a drawing for free dinner for two! (See yesterday’s announcement for a link to the flyer.)
*Attention Students: If you are enrolled in dual enrollment at the University of Montevallo this semester, please be sure to sign in and out in the main office when you leave and return. Also, make sure you communicate with your current teachers if any of their class time is impacted so that they can make note of your dual enrollment status.
