*PROGRESS REPORTS GO HOME TODAY! Will be given during 5th period
*Coin Drop & Canned Food Drive containers located in your English classes through Friday.
*Homecoming Dance – Friday night in the café. Beginning after the game until mid-night. Cost is $10. Ticket will include food, drinks, real DJ, & gifts.
*Homecoming Memory CDs goes on sale today through Wed. Sept 23rd. CD cost is $5 it will include pictures of all homecoming activities throughout the week from all grade levels. See Mrs. Cabrera to purchase your CD. Alice Boyd Building room 301.
*Homecoming Group Pictures are on sale, $5 per set of 4 pictures one pose. Will be delivered the week after homecoming. Pictures will be taken during the homecoming dance with a special backdrop.
People that buy Group Pictures, their names will be placed in a bucket for a drawing for a free Memory CD. Any questions about homecoming pictures, CDs, or dance see Mrs. Cabrera.
*Tomorrow is Time Travel Day. Make sure you follow dress code when you dress up like your class’s selected time period.
*Grade level vb tournament tomorrow afternoon, tickets to watch teams play will only be on sale during lunch. Tickets are $2.00
*The HC parade will start at 6 pm tomorrow night, with a community pep rally following in the stadium. Float line-up will be on Valley St. at 5 pm. Floats will be judges at 5:30.
Attention Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentors: There will be a mandatory match meeting on Monday, Sept. 21 during 7th period in the PAC.

*Seniors: Ms. Allen is now working on submissions for the Fox 6/ America’s First Rising Star Program. Nominated students must have a minimum 3.5 and a record of extracurricular involvement. Finalists have the potential to earn scholarship money. Interested students should submit a resume to Ms. Allen by mid-October.
Juniors: Youth Leadership Shelby County is seeking self-motivated, socially consci-entious students to be part of this year’s program. Applications are now being accept-ed and must be returned to Ms. Allen by Sept. 30. Students who are selected must at-tend a mandatory leadership retreat Nov. 1 & 2.

Come join the spirit line on Friday behind jacks to cheer on the bulldogs to their 5th victory for homecoming. The line will begin at 5 with the players walking through at 5:15″

I am a alumni of Montevallo High and the University of Montevallo. I have been a teacher at Montevallo Elementary for 10 years, a librarian at Creek View Elementary for 5 years and have been the librarian at Montevallo High School for several years now.
