*Flu Mist permission forms are due by Oct. 5. Please turn in to the front office or the nurse. Flu Mist vaccines will be given on Oct. 14, 2015.
School day picture orders are due to Ms. Adams, room 115, by Wed., Sept. 30.
Picture make-up day is Monday, Sept. 28.
*Students: Ms. Allen is now registering students for the PSAT that will be administered on Oct. 14. For juniors, the PSAT serves as the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program and could prove extremely beneficial for students who take advantage of the opportunity. Tenth grade students are encouraged to sign up as well. Space is limited and the test fee is $15. Interested students should register by Oct. 8.
*Seniors: Ms. Allen is now working on submissions for the Fox 6/ America’s First Rising Star Program. Nominated students must have a minimum 3.5 and a record of extracurricular involvement. Finalists have the potential to earn scholarship money. Interested students should submit a resume to Ms. Allen by mid-October.
*Juniors: Youth Leadership Shelby County is seeking self-motivated, socially conscientious students to be part of this year’s program. Applications are now being accepted and must be returned to Ms. Allen by next Wed.. Students who are selected must attend a mandatory leadership retreat Nov. 1 & 2.
*There will be a sr. meeting today during 4th period. You will be called at the appropriate time.
*Juniors and Seniors: A representative from the University of Montevallo will be on campus Monday, to meet with interested students. Also, a representative from Judson College will be on campus Tues-day, Sept. 29. Both visits will take place in the library during 7th period. Sign up now!
