Congratulations to the High School Scholars’ Bowl team for their performance last Friday at the Alabama Scholastic Competition Association meet. Their hard work qualified them for the state competition on April 12th at Jefferson State.
FIT February Fact: Did you know that anxiety can cause insomnia and insomnia can cause anxiety? According to an article by Neurocore Brain Performance Center, it can be a “chicken and the egg situation between sleep problems and other mental health conditions.” Make sure you have a set “wind-down” time, a set bedtime. And a set time to wake up each day.

Come hang out with the majorettes, danceline, and colorguard at the high school this Wednesday after school until 4:15. It is free.
There will be a mandatory cheer parent meeting Feb. 20 at 6pm. Cheer clinic will be March 4-7 and tryouts March 8th. Please see Mrs. Fine in room 206 with any questions.

We are now in flu season. MHS will accept Lysol Wipes, Kleenex, Hand Sanitizer or Lysol Spray. Donations may be dropped off at the main office.

It contains news from the Alabama Agribusiness Council, the Shelby County Education Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to name a few. Pick up a copy in the library or download from Ms. Allen’s Counselor’s Corner Blog. The blog also contains the 2019 Lhoist North America Scholarship information.
Attention Students: If you wish to apply to CTec, the blog is now electronic and is posted on Ms. Allen’s blog. The deadline for submission of all course selection materials is March 1.
