Attention Students: The Equal Justice Initiative is offering scholarship prizes to Shelby County students in grades 9-12 who submit winning essays for their Racial Justice Essay Contest. Attention Girls in Grades 9 & 10: Registration is now open for Girls Can Camp! It is a summer construction camp for girls that features carpentry, welding, pipefitting, and electrical fields. It will be held June 8 – 12 at CTech in Columbiana. Pick up an application from the guidance suite.

Congratulations to the boys soccer team for their big win in the first leg of the Holt Townsend Tournament. The boys are at the top of table and the girls team is tied for second in their seed. Go Dawgs!

Congratulations to Campbell Cost, and Melissa Scott for winning their singles matches and to Tyti Harris and Leslie Langley for winning their doubles match against Leeds last night. Several other players were in contention to win when an electrical issue caused the lights to go out. Good job team!
