Thursday, February 20th

Students began creating equivalent ratios today through the use of ratio tables! Lots of new ways to look at ratios, specifically by creating and populating a ratio table. I have attached the notes students took down today in their math notebooks. I have also attached all the examples we worked together as a whole group to make sure everyone understands the procedures to populating the ratio table. Loved how hard my students worked on this rainy Thursday!

Homework was assigned. It is attached below. We worked the first two in each section together to ensure everyone understood the problems!

Friday, November 1st & GOLD TEST!!!!!!!!!!!

GOLD TEST ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4th!!!!

Today in class, students completed and reviewed their study guides for our gold test on Monday. The skills that will be assessed include:

-writing integers for specific situations
-plotting integers on a numberline
-ordering integers
-calculating Absolute Value (including adding and subtracting)
-identifying points on a coordinate plane
-graphing points on a coordinate plane

Students should review and study over their study guides to prepare for Monday’s gold test. I will be taking the study guide up as a silver grade before the test, so make sure you bring it to class! I have attached a blank copy of the study in case someone needs it and I have attached an answer key if you would like to check over your answers!

Wednesday, October 30th & GOLD TEST!!!!!

Students learned to calculate the distances between points on a plane today using only the two ordered pairs. The notes we took today in class are attached below.

We are beginning to prepare for a gold test next Monday, November 4th. The gold test will assess the following skills:

-writing integers for specific situations
-plotting integers on a numberline
-ordering integers
-calculating Absolute Value (including adding and subtracting)
identifying points on a coordinate plane
-graphing points on a coordinate plane

Study guides were given out today for students to begin preparing for the test. We will go over the study guides together in class on Friday, November 1st, to ensure everyone understands proper procedures. Students should have a completed and correct study guide to use over the weekend to prepare for Monday’s test!
